This huge gap in the landscape, which was believed to have been carved by the gods, and whose depth varies between 250 and 750 meters.

The Gorges du Verdon is the spectacular result of centuries of erosion by the river Verdon to drag their way through the Provençal limestone plateaus. The river irrigates the lake of Sainte-Croix to an almond green water surface of 2,200 hectares at the foot of former mountain villages. The Corniche Sublime offers stunning views from the left bank, the entire landscape around the canyon is under the management of the Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon.
